Travel to USA

After the advent of independence Puerto Ricans will be able to travel freely around the world. Rather than separate us from the world, independence will unite us more with the international community. Puerto Rico's government will strive to maintain friendly and cooperative relationships with other countries. By using their passport issued by the Republic of Puerto Rico citizens of Puerto Rico will be able to travel to all countries that admit visitors from our country. In what respects traveling to the United States it should be noted that the most recent proposal of independence considered by the U.S. Congress contemplated free transit between Puerto Rico and the United States after our country achieves independence. It is likely that the U.S. Congress will approve a provision that permits continued free transit between the two nations since more than two and a half million Puerto Ricans (who are U.S. citizens) live in the United States. After the arrival of independence the Republic of Puerto Rico will not restrict Puerto Ricans' freedom to travel to the United States. |
